A Reflection of My Spirituality

Waking up each morning, I thank God for giving me another day, for the gift of life and all gifts of nature. Truly, all around me comes from God who has created everything. The Almighty has given this earth for me to develop and cherish. Human life itself is a great miracle and everyday this miracle happens every minute across the globe. God is manifested in the beautiful sceneries of nature, from the mountains to the seas to the universe to the birth of a child.I see the purpose for which God has shared His splendor and presence in me through these wonders of nature. It is because He wants me to get close to Him, to know Him better, and to love Him more. He is telling me that He is everywhere and that He is always there when I needed His help.Nature is the mirror for which God reflects Himself so that I could recognize Him and His glory. When problems arise I would usually commune with nature to seek refuge watching the waves and listening to the waters in the beach or go mountain cl imbing and see the world from above. Just by appreciating God’s handiworks is enough for me to see life much better amidst the uncertainties that lie ahead. God communicates through our environment. From the beginning, God has created this world for us to nourish but now we neglect this duty and could possibly face annihilation as it is slowly happening this very moment.Taking this walk with nature enriches my spirituality because nature itself is spiritual and Godly since it is not made by man. This walk is a learning experience that strengthens not only my knowledge about God but most of all my faith in God.Through this walk I came to understand that the future of mankind depends solely on the condition of our environment. The Almighty has given us paradise but we have turned it into a swamp. In nature, He has provided us with the necessity to live. We need to develop and use the resources wisely but we have come to abuse these resources for our personal gains and hasten the destruction of our environment. Is this how we repay God for giving us this earth so we could live in His presence? The simple message I received from this walk with awareness is that this world will end if we fail to stop the exploitation and cruelty to our surroundings. It is very unfortunate that our planet has come to this and we are now experiencing the effects of pollution and global warming. We contributed much to polluting the earth but at the same time we can solve this problem by changing our lifestyle and way of thinking that nature is God’s gift to us.However this awareness did come easy because for many years I did not really see the value of nature in my life. I have taken for granted its meaning just like clothes that you can dispose of and buy a new one. In this time of modernization, I find it difficult to feel God’s presence. I am too distracted more often by the new technology and commercialization that I forget He existed. You could hardly see the be st of nature in cities when all you can see are buildings. Indeed, this is a great challenge in practicing my spiritual life where concentration is hard to achieve. The best thing is that I try to live my faith each day. At times I fail but I move on and try again.

Supply chain management has been the foundation to Wall-Mart's success and remains their chief competitive advantage in the retail/department store industry. Wall-Mart is in the business of selling everything customers need in their everyday lives. Wall-Mart was divided into three business segments: Wall-Mart stores, Cam's Clubs, and the International Division.Their distribution system is generally regarded as the cost efficient and they have an approach to supply chain management that has long emphasized visibility through the sharing of information with their suppliers. Wall-Mart was one of the largest privat e sector employers in the world, with employee strength of approximately 1. 28 million. Supply chain management is moving the right items to the right customer at the right time by the most efficient means. No one does that better than Wall-Mart. Wall- Mart always emphasized the need to reduce its purchasing costs and offer the best price to its customers. The company procured goods directly from manufacturers, bypassing all intermediaries. Wall-Mart was a tough negotiator on prices and finalized a purchase deal only when it was fully confident that the products being bought were not available elsewhere at a lower price. Supply chain management (SCM) is â€Å"the systemic, strategic coordination of the traditional business functions and the tactics across these business functions within a particular company and across businesses within the supply chain, for the purposes of improving the long term performance of the individual companies and the supply chain as a whole. It has also be en defined as the â€Å"design, planning, execution, control, and monitoring of supply Hahn activities with the objective of creating net value, building a competitive infrastructure, leveraging worldwide logistics, synchronizing supply with demand and measuring performance globally. † SCM is a cross-functional approach that includes managing the movement of raw materials into an organization, certain aspects of the internal processing of materials into finished goods, and the movement of finished goods out of the organization and toward the end consumer. As organizations strive to focus on core competencies and becoming more flexible, they reduce their ownership of raw materials sources and distribution channels. These functions are increasingly being outsourced to other firms that can perform the activities better or more cost effectively. The effect is to increase the number of organizations involved in satisfying customer demand, while reducing managerial control of daily logistics operations. Less control and more supply chain partners led to the creation of the concept of supply chain management. The purpose Of supply chain management is to improve trust and collaboration among supply chain partners, thus improving inventory visibility and the velocity of inventory movement. Wall-Mart was the largest retailing company in the world. The company was much bigger than its competitors in the US – Sears Roebuck, K-Mart, J Penny and Nordstrom combined (Refer Exhibit I). Len 2002, Wall-Mart operated more than 3,500 discount stores, Cam's Clubs and Superstructures in the US and more than 1,1 70 stores in all major countries across the world. The company also sold products on the Internet through its website, Walter. Com. Wall-Mart was one of the largest private sector employers in the world, with employee strength of approximately 1. 28 million. The company's founder, Sam Walton (Walton) had always focused on improving sales, constantly reducing costs, adopting efficient distribution and logistics management systems and using innovative information technology (IT) tools. According to analysts, Wall-Mart was able to achieve a leadership status ((Refer Exhibit II)) in the retail industry because of its efficient supply chain management practices.Captain Vernon L. Beauty, aide-De-camp to the commander, Defense Supply Center, Columbus, Ohio said, â€Å"Supply chain management is moving the right items to the right customer at the right time by the most efficient means. No one does that well than Wall-Mart. † Every task has a particular aim. A study without objective cannot reach its estimation. The main objective of the study is to know about â€Å"Supply Chain Management Systems of Wall-Mart†. Some other objectives of this study mention in the following: 1 . To know about Supply chain Management system. . To know about supply chain process. 3. To know about Wall-Mart. 4. To gather knowledge about supply chain managemen t of Wall-Mart. 5. To get a real idea about supply chain system. 6. To increase knowledge about supply chain. 7. To know how to manage supply chain process from Wall-Mart. 8. To know about retail system. We have collected data in the following ways: Website Desk report of the related department. Other manual information. Different reference books of the library News paper Articles Internship report CHAPTER.Two THEORETICAL ASPECTS The term â€Å"supply chain management† entered the public domain when Keith Oliver, a consultant at Bozo Allen Hamilton (now strategy&), used it in an interview for the Financial Times in 1982. The term was slow to take hold. It gained currency in the mid-1 sass, when a flurry of articles and books came out on the subject. In the late asses it rose to prominence as a management buzzword, and operations managers began to use it in their titles with increasing regularity.Commonly accepted definitions of supply chain management include: The management of upstream and downstream value- added flows of materials, final goods, and related information among suppliers, company, resellers, and final consumers The systematic, strategic coordination of traditional business functions and tactics across all business supply chain, for the purposes of improving the long-term performance Of the individual companies and the supply chain as a whole.A definition is given by Hines (2004:pop): â€Å"Supply chain strategies require a total systems view of the inks in the chain that work together efficiently to create customer satisfaction at the end point of delivery to the consumer. As a consequence, costs must be lowered throughout the chain by driving out unnecessary expenses, movements, and handling. The main focus is turned to efficiency and added value, or the end-user's perception of value. Efficiency must be increased, and bottlenecks removed. The measurement of performance focuses on total system efficiency and the equitable monetary reward distribution to those within the supply chain. The supply chain system must be responsive to customer requirements. The integration of key business processes across the supply chain for the purpose of creating value for customers and stakeholders (Lambert, 2008) According to the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CAMP), supply chain management encompasses the planning and management of all activities involved in sourcing, procurement, conversion, and logistics management. It also includes coordination and collaboration with channel partners, which may be suppliers, intermediaries, third-party service providers, or customers. Supply chain management integrates supply and demand management within and across companies. More recently, the loosely coupled, self- organizing network of businesses that cooperate to provide product and service offerings has been called the Extended Enterprise.Supply Chain Management (SCM) is the management of the relationship between the suppl ier's supplier and the customer's customer through the supply chain participants (Distributor/Wholesaler and Retailer) between them, mainly using information flow and logistics activities to gain Competitive advantage and customer satisfaction. Figure: Supply Chain Management System A supply chain, as opposed to supply chain management, is a set of organizations directly linked y one or more upstream and downstream flows of products, services, finances, or information from a source to a customer.Supply chain management is the management of such a chain. In many cases the supply chain includes the collection of goods after consumer use for recycling. Successful SCM requires a change from managing individual functions to integrating activities into key supply chain processes. In an example scenario, a purchasing department places orders as its requirements become known. The marketing department, responding to customer demand, communicates with several distributors and retailers as it attempts to determine ways to attics this demand.Information shared between supply chain partners can only be fully leveraged through process integration. Supply chain business process integration involves collaborative work between buyers and suppliers, joint product development, common systems, and shared information. According to Lambert and Cooper (2000), operating an integrated supply chain requires a continuous information flow. However, in many companies, management has concluded that optimizing product flows cannot be accomplished without implementing a process approach.

Charge of the Light Brigade

How far do Sources 1 and 2 challenge the impression of the Charge of the Light Brigade given in Source 3? The Charge of the Light Brigade was started by an order given by Lord Raglan to charge. It last half an hour and 113 men were killed. Source 3 is a ‘recalling’ of the brutality of the Charge of the Light Brigade. It shows the perspective of someone watching the battle rather than taking part so is therefore limited. Although, it is still useful as is written by a witness who saw it happen at the time of the event. There are various features of source 1 and 2 that challenge source 3’s impression of the Charge of the Light Brigade. For example, source 1 portrays the appearance of only Russian soldiers and of the English look triumphant. Whereas source 3 states ‘our men tried to drag their mangled bodies’ giving the impression that many were badly injured. Source 2 challenges source 3 by saying ‘right thro’ the line they broke’ this gives the impression the English troops managed to get onto Russian ground and shows them as more successful than stated in source. In addition source 2 agrees with source 1 in this sense as can be seen in the picture, the English soldiers have reached the Russians and the Russians are made to look weak. Source 2 however is limited as is written as a poem, so may be dramatized to add effect and make to it more interesting to read. Also the information included in the poem was written on the Isle of Weight after hearing Russell’s report so is very limited. Despite the various things that challenge source 3 in source 2 and 1 there are also many things that agree with it. When looking at the cartoon in source 1 it appears to disagree with source 3, however looking at the provenance may change this opinion. It was published in the magazine ‘Punch’ which was a teasing and dramatizing newspaper. It was also only one month after the Charge of the Light Brigade and everyone knew how badly the English had performed. It appears to pick fun at Lord Cardigan and blame him for the loss that day. Source 3 and 2 also agree that a lot of men were badly injured or killed that day. This is seen when source 2 states ‘Then they rode back, but not not this six hundred’ the emphasis on the not shows that nowhere near six hundred of them rode back. In source 3 this is shown when Sergeant-Major Timothy Gowing states ‘but few escaped. ’ Source 2 agrees with source 3 when it states the soldiers were ‘shatter’d and sunder’d. ’ This coincides with the image of the soldiers having to ‘drag their mangled bodies’ the word drag shows exhaustion and that they used every last bit of energy to try and escape the battle field. In conclusion, source 1 and 2 mainly agree with the image of the Charge of the Light Brigade portrayed in source 3. Source 1 is making fun of Lord Cardigan and how terribly wrong the whole situation went so is a lot less serious than the other 2 sources. They all however give the image of the battle being a bloody, ‘brutal’ one in which many lives were lost. Source 3 was written 41 years after this shows the charge still has an impact years later and people still do not know the full truth.

Reflection paper Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words - 9

Reflection paper - Essay Example The truth is that by the end of the buildout phase most of the opportunities to get ahead of competitors are all but gone. One of the benefits of IT is that is can be easily transferred. Not surprisingly the cost of IT has also decreased greatly over the years in conjunction with its increased usage. Outsourcing is an important issue in our economy because there are pros and cons to be argued for its relevance. I can see why so many firms turn to outsourcing, and that is to reduce costs. This is naturally the number one goal of any organization, making the option to outsource work all the more appealing. On the downside, when outsourcing occurs overseas it can evoke strong reactions in home country customers. I think that outsourcing can be a high risk activity, and it is for this reason that it must be done very carefully. In a globalized world IT governance takes on increased importance, as it is often vital to the organizational success of a firm. Managers must understand IT governance because if done correctly it can reduce costs and risks but also help the company to gain a competitive business

Critically examine the steps that have been taken in the EU to create Coursework

Critically examine the steps that have been taken in the EU to create a single market for banking institutions (until the year 2001). Have they been successful - Coursework Example It does not prearrange or presuppose suggestions that either Coalition party may make in the future for modifications both to the EU and to the balance of competences. Replies to the Call for Evidence, and proof from appropriate public literature, propose that in the areas covered the balance of competences, as planned in the EU Treaties, are largely suitable, but are often weakened by poor policy-making. For the balance to be completely applicable in the yet to come times, the EU ought to assume noteworthy reorganization of the current EU policy-making structure and procedures, take a more balanced method to legislation in all sub-sectors, and give better thought to the code of conduct in the subsidiarity in retail market sectors. This is reinforced by proof that: Entree to the single market in financial services and the Free Movement of Capital offers substantial paybacks for the UK financial services industry and for clients – a number of industry shareholders stressed the UK’s access to the Single Market as a motive to localize in the UK and claimed that more development of the Single Market would bring supplementary profits (Klein & Giovanni, 2005). There are, nevertheless, substantial flaws in the EU’s existing approach to coordination and policy-making – investors reflected on the current policy-making structure to have been insufficient for the type, volume and pace of legislation experienced in the last five years, and the value of meetings, impact assessments and drafting of comprehensive guidelines to have not been adequately high (Michelle, 2007). Dedicated reorganization is required to guarantee the attainment of the Single Market and validate the current balance of competences – a majority of respondents supposed that a program of transformation is attainable and could spot-on mistakes on the current shortages, although extensive concerns

The Use Of Mirrors In 16th Century Paintings Essay - 1

The Use Of Mirrors In 16th Century Paintings - Essay Example This paper shows that Anamorphosis is that particular style of drawing in which the piece of art appears distorted until it is viewed by the observer at a particular angle or by means of a special lens. Sometimes whole scenes and landscapes were embedded in these picture puzzles (Chilvers 14, Bousquet 155). A classic example of such a work will be Parmigianino’s Self Portrait done in the year 1434. For this painting, he placed a convex mirror in front and painted exactly what he saw. To lend an added air of authenticity to the image, Parmigianino especially constructed a wooden sphere and cut it in half in exact accordance with the dimensions of the convex mirror. As a result, Parmigianino’s hand appears disproportionately, almost grotesquely large, as it is placed near the mirror. Georges De La Tour’s (George De La Tour) The Repentant Magdalene brings yet another touch of novelty to the usage of mirrors. Here, Tour portrays Mary Magdalene, seated in front of a mirror, gazing absently at it, while her left hand is lightly placed on a skull and the candlelight casts a shadow on her face. The reflection of the mirror is used to point towards the inner reflections of Mary Magdalene. Here the mirror is used to symbolize introspection. Magdalene is shown as gazing at the mirror; it is her inner world, however, that she is gazing at. These examples are only a few. There are many others of this kind where one can see the mirror not just embellishing a painting and adding to its visual and artistic value but also conveying a deeply symbolic and moral meaning.

Liberalism and its critics Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

Liberalism and its critics - Essay Example Having discussed that liberalism puts forward the interests of fighters; critics claim that liberalism is also an ideological system of struggle that stands for things like unprincipled peace. As a result, critics maintain that liberalism brings about something called political degeneration in different individuals and units within a party and within revolution organizations. Additionally, Mao puts across that liberalism gives rise to or creates decadent. In terms of manifestation, liberalism manifests itself in a number of ways. For instance, liberalism lets things flow freely or slide in the name of friendship and peace despite the fact that a person has made a mistake (66). This happens mainly because this person might be an old subordinate, a fellow townsman, a loved one, or a close friend. Based on this revelation, Fredonians should pursue liberalism with caution as it might end up dividing the society into halves. Moreover, it is worthwhile for the people of Fredonia to refrain from liberalism as they have very little knowledge about it thus making it unwise to take up the weapon of liberalism against the foreigners and aristocrats. Citations maintain that the so-called â€Å"Patriots† have limited knowledge concerning liberalism. This shows that they do not have insights into this kind of action, which makes them unaware of damages that might befall them in case they happen to opt for liberalism. As depicted by Mao, liberalism involves indulgence into irresponsible criticism that takes place privately as opposed to voicing out suggestions and ideas as well as cause for action to the organization (79). Truthfully, advising Fredonians to refrain from liberalism is a pragmatic way of avoiding further oppression as it shows no regard for principles of collective living but follows individual inclination. Revolution History explains that, since Middle Ages, there has been an existence of so cietal struggles. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels assert that, presence of the oppressor and the oppressed, patrician and the plebian, free people and the slave as well as the master of guild and the journey was and still is the causal factor behind revolutionaries (85). These authors point out clearly that, revolution could act as a weapon against certain inhumane actions but in most cases, its results are unimaginable. Generally, revolution either comes along with re-construction of the involved society in bits or at large or results to rampant ruin of almost every contending class. Fact findings establish that history based on epochs of revolution bring out undesirable end product as all societies involved suffered a manifold of gradation in terms of social ranks (91). For example, in ancient Rome, revolution resulted to slaves, knights, patricians, and plebeians. In order for â€Å"The Patriots† to kick out foreigners and aristocrats, it is advisable for them to revolution ize their nation despite criticism. This is because for them to attain reforms there must

E-Payment Systems Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2500 words

E-Payment Systems - Essay Example The report has conducted a brief literature review regarding e-payment systems in order to highlight their importance for an e-commerce company. Advantages, disadvantages and implications of three types of e-payment systems as Biometric Payments, Mobile Payments and Person-to-Person (P2P) Payments have been discussed in the report and based on the evaluation; the report has recommended suitable e-payment solution to the client. In the later section, the report has also evaluated security frameworks that can protect the customer account information, transaction information and website database from unauthorized and malicious access. At the end of the report, suitable security recommendation has also been provided to the client, which can not only increase transparency of the e-payment system but also help the client to improve their brand presence through social media marketing. Table of Contents Table of Contents 3 Introduction 4 E- Commerce and E-Payment Systems 4 Different types E- Payment Systems 6 Biometric Payments 6 Mobile e-Payments 7 Person-to-Person (P2P) Payments 9 Recommendations 11 Website and Database Security 13 Conclusion 15 Introduction Fazlollahi (2002) stated that demand for e-payment and online transaction has been increased manifold with the growth of e-commerce. ... archer will propose e-payment system for Book Bunker that can not only help the client to ease the payment process but also increase their online presence. In the next section, the researcher will describe the theoretical model of e-payment system in order to prepare the background of the proposed recommendations. Three different e-payment systems will be proposed for Book Bunker and security suggestion will also be provided at the end of the report. E- Commerce and E-Payment Systems According to Khosrow-Pour (2008), e-commerce sites help users to buy and sell products and merchandises through online platform and internet communication. When product purchase and sell is being done online then it would be unfeasible to connect manual cash payment with the virtual system due to three reasons, 1- lack of synchronization between manual and online system, 2- lack of symmetry in the information processing and 3- synchronization might decrease the speed of processing (Khosrow-Pour, 2008). H ence, it can be said that absence of e-payment system might create problem for users of the system to pay cash in the virtual environment of e-commerce. Heng (2004) reported that before the arrival of e-payment system, e-commerce companies introduced various e-cash systems such as â€Å"Millicent†, â€Å"Digicash†, and â€Å"PayBox† etc as the predecessor of e-payment system but this earlier version of e-payment systems failed to provide the security and efficiency of transactions. Due to such inefficiency of previous e-payment system, customers shifted to online transaction via credit/debit cards payment or cash payment. According to Abrazhevich (2004), consumers also check for the security settings in the e-payment system and often stop using the e-payment system if the service vendor has

Economics and Psychology Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Economics and Psychology - Essay Example Evidence also proved that offers rejected when they came from a person would be accepted if they were generated by a computer. The assumption of rationality is not completely true as people do not always make rational decisions. In economics, rationality is understood to be an approximation with hope that departures from rationality are rare. Some economists have argued that some deviations from rational do not matter (Akerlof & Yellen 1985). Psychology have challenged the assumption of rationality which is the basis of economic subjective utility. The concepts of bounded rationality was introduced in an attempt to formulate a theory of rational choice (Simon 1955). Economists predict the behavior of agents by assuming that they have stable, well-defined preferences and they make rational choices in consistence with preferences of the markets. Loewenstein & Thaler (1989) present a number of anomalies within empirical results which are difficult to rationalize. Economic theory makes exact prediction of the discount rate of money people should apply utilizing the after-tax market value of interest. High discount rates are experienced in some contexts and by some groups which raises questions concerning the rationality of consumers. Economic theories of individual behavior are vague and un-testable. Intertemporal decisions are related to the spread of costs and benefits over time. The rationality of many intertemporal decisions especially individual and self-control choices are challenged. Psychology of intertemporal choice complicated the question of selecting the proper social rate of discount. Standard computation of discount rate is determined by the standard rate of interest adjusted for tax distortions. Adjusting tax distortion is complicated by the internalization of capital markets. It is suggested to determine time preferences at the individual level to avoid these complications. The individual rate should be consistent across all individual belongings. Economists do not agree with the psychology of decision making. Evidence from psychological research proved that individuals did not follow rational choices. However, psychologists did not provide means to incorporate these findings in economic models. However, psychologists affect and benefits economic theories in a number of other cases. For example, in the case of wave profiling, psychology experimented and observed that people care about changes in wages in addition to absolute values of their wages. This could affect the profile of increasing wages in addition to the discount of the future. In this example, psychology suggested modification to the utility function of wage determination. Psychology provided testable assumptions which are supported by experimental evidence. Smith, V. (1991). Rational Choice: The contrast between Economics and Psychology, Journal of Political Economy, vol. 99. No. 4., University of Chicago Press. Smith (1991) examined the contest between economic theory and evidence from psychology with respect to experimental economics. He argued that rational choice is a combination of both rationalists from psychology and behavioralist from economics. Smith

Project on Financial Management Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

Project on Financial Management - Essay Example The balance sheet of my family reveals that we have just enough assets to cover our liabilities. We keep liabilities to a minimum because we have three growing children and our money goes to support their daily expenses. Aside from paying for the mortgage, there are just the monthly utilities and the telephone and cable to pay for. But as can be reflected, the liabilities already consume about 77% of our resources. The asset to debt ratio of 1.29 shows that our financial liquidity, or our ability to cover our liabilities. As shown, our assets are still more than our debt which enables us to pay for our obligations by keeping them to a minimum – only that which we can afford. The only investment asset we have is our life insurance which has a cash value of $3000. Since we are still paying for our house, it is still not considered as an asset since the title to the property is not yet in our name until it is fully paid. The $5000 in our checking account is composed of the $300 per month I struggle to save for emergency purposes plus other savings made in the process.

Geof is the only genuine caring character in the play Essay Example for Free

Geof is the only genuine caring character in the play Essay Geof is the only genuine caring character in the play; the others are totally selfish and self centred. Discuss this statement. From the beginning of the play we can see Jo is the main character, she is highly independent and self reliant this is obvious from one of the opening pages were Jos mum Helen states children owe their parents these little attentions to which Jo replies with I dont owe you a thing. This shows Jo sees her relationship with her mother as strained, she feels she has brought herself up and not really had her mother their to support her. She has learnt to rely on herself and not trust her mother. When Jo becomes pregnant with a black boy form the navy, who leaves her pregnant Jo reacts badly because she is so independent and used to looking after herself. Geof (Jos gay friend) offers her a shoulder to turn to and she turns on him Im not planning big plans for this baby or dreaming big dreams. You Know what happens when you do things like that. The baby will be born dead or daft! She feels she has let herself down and been promiscuous, however the sailor boy was offering her marriage and love before he left, she felt in a safe relationship and that was why she slept with him. But Jo just sees that shes made the same mistakes her mother made when she had her at a young age. Most expectant mothers dont have this negative attitude towards their unborn child however I feel its because she thinks she may let the child down like her mother let her down. Jimmy the black boy from the navy who got Jo pregnant gave the impression of a kind and genuine character who did honestly love Jo until he left. In my opinion he loved her and did intend to return for her but got scared of the prejudice he would face if he did return. He said to Jo about her mother finding out about their engagement Shell see a coloured boy. He obviously felt his race was going to be an issue in their relationship and how it was perceived and was worried about it. Jo however did know Jimmy was in the navy and even said to him on one occasion I might as well be naughty while Ive got the chance. Ill probably never see you again I know it. So I believe deep down Jo knew there was a chance she wouldnt be seeing him again. In my opinion Helen did love her daughter she just didnt know how to treat her, maybe it was because she had her at a young age? She seems to think she should treat her daughter like a friend, she even encourages her underage daughter to drink You dont smell it, you drink it! I think the only way Helen knew to make her daughter love her was the way she made men love her, by getting her drunk. Helen did want her daughter to make something of her life I feel. She encouraged her to draw, saying her drawings were very good Have you ever thought of going to a proper art school and getting proper training? But I think the main reason she wanted Jo to make something of herself was so she could sponge of her. Helen says to Jo When you start earning you can start moaning. In my opinion shes saying to Jo you make some money and get us somewhere nicer. Shes not taken the task upon herself to find her and her daughter somewhere nice to live shes going to wait for her daughter to did it for them. Not a typical loving mother and daughter relationship, Helen is reliant on her daughter Jo. Helen is in my opinion lazy with regard to her relationship with her daughter. She is constantly asking her daughter to do stuff around the house Pass me that bottle Have we got any aspirins left Jo? Here is another example of Helen being reliant on her daughter. She also becomes strangely jealous of Jos gay friend Geof. She is constantly rude to him Oh shut up Geof Sling your hook I believe she is jealous of his strong bond with Jo. She feels jealous of their close relationship and doesnt like him around as she feels inadequate compared to him. Jo maintains through out the play that she wants to be rid of her mother as soon as I get a full-time job, Im leaving Helen and starting up with a room somewhere so for Helen to know theres someone in her life she wants there, that person being Geof it must make her feel less important. Even for Helen who shows no real care for her Jo to know that her own daughter feels like that must be difficult. I think part of her feels she should have a close loving relationship with Jo I just dont think she knows how to or more importantly can be bothered. Peter, Helens latest fling who becomes her husband comes across as a decent sort of guy at first, however he is sleazy Helen you look utterly fantastic Got your blue garters on? He does turn nasty towards the end when their marriage isnt going so well Look at Helen, isnt she a game old bird? Worn out on the beat but shes still got a few good strokes left. and I dragged you out of the gutter once , If you want to go back there its all the same to me. The way he speaks down to Helen are reminiscent of his character, he believes himself to be above everyone else, better looking, better dressed, better educated, a real snob. Geof takes a mothering role in Jos life, which I dont think she always appreciates. Ill buy you one for Christmas. If you ask nice Ill buy you two. Ill stay here and clear this place up a bit and make you a proper meal. I think Jo actually likes having a figure to look after her but I think she finds it difficult sometimes as shes not used to it, shes used to fending for herself. Why dont you leave me alone? I think that all this shows that despite Jos though exterior she does want looking after and companionship, especially from her mother even though she denies it, as that is what Geof is doing for her, being a substitute mother. Geof , a single gay man was evicted from his flat by his landlady because she caught him with another man. In those days being a sexually active gay man was frowned upon so he was probably quite ashamed about the reason for his eviction and that is why he tries to hide it from Jo. When she asks has your landlady thrown you out? Geof replies Dont be silly, but later tells her the truth. Geof also agrees to move in with Jo, taking on the responsibilities of looking after a Jo and her baby. Also when Jo tells him her baby will be black he is extremely accepting and doesnt seem to care. In my opinion this is due to the prejudice he has faced about being gay. Another time his kind and compassionate character is seen is when he tries to get Jo and Helen talking again despite Jo telling him exactly what her mother is like he still persists and tries to build bridges in their relationship with them and get Helen to help out with the baby. Your mother should know, do you have her address? When he meets Helen though he is struck by how rude and uncaring she is and sticks up for Jo telling Helen. If Id known you were going to bully her like this Id have never asked you to come! Here he shows true loyalty for Jo by sticking up for her. In my opinion Geof is a very lonely young man he didnt seem to have any other friends besides Jo in the play, other than young man he was found in his flat with but in his own words he didnt really know the guy . We cant really be sure of his past because the play doesnt mention it but I feel hes faced a lot of prejudice about his sexuality and perhaps that is why he so understands Jo. He doesnt seem to have any family, and I think he was trying to make Jo and the baby into a surrogate family for himself. I feel he was the nicest character in the book but he did become quite irritating as he was too nice all of the time. All the other characters had floors and attributes that made them lovable or unlovable. Geof however, was just quite bland. Helen for instance was an interesting character because she was so unpredictable, she could have a new boyfriend at any moment, or get drunk and do something ridiculous. Goef on the other hand was predictable but provided the rock of the story. He was Mr. Reliable that Jo could turn to he wasnt an interesting character like Helen but was a vital part of the play.

Cause and effect AID Essay Example for Free

Cause and effect AID Essay There are many factors that cause Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). AIDS is a disease caused by a virus called HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus). First of all, HIV is caused by having sex through unprotected sex with a person who has infected by HIV. HIV may be transmitted through unprotected heterosexual or homosexual, vaginal, anal, or oral sex. The main routes of transmission are unprotected vaginal and anal sex. Besides that, one can be infected with HIV through blood transmission. Sharing needles and reusing syringes that contaminated with HIV-infected blood may cause blood transmission from one to another. In most of the cases, this incident occurs when there is sharing and reusing needles among drug users. In addition, HIV may be transmitted if there is use of contaminated surgical instruments or equipments and blood transfusion with infected blood during medical treatment or operation. It could happen when health care workers are involved in needle prick accidents. Moreover, one of the ways to be infected with HIV is through mother-child transmission infection. This is a condition where mothers who are infected by HIV are at risk of giving the disease to their baby during pregnancy and giving birth process. Besides that, HIV transmission can occur during breastfeeding by an infected mother as well which is called vertical transmission. Effects of AIDS AIDS causes damage to the human body in many ways. AIDS reduces the ability of the infected person to fight other diseases. HIV infection causes AIDS as well as a number of health problems. HIV infection affects many organs of the body, including those within the immune, gastrointestinal, mucosal, respiratory and neurological systems. First of all, HIV virus affects the immune system as the virus attacks lymphocytes called T cells. These T cells also called as CD4 are essential for fighting disease causing germs. When CD4 T-cells are infected, the count of T cells eventually decreases in the body of patient, it becomes susceptible to infections. Besides that, HIV infection that caused AIDS also contributes to weight effects. People who infected HIV may lose muscle and fat where they are difficult to regain the weight once they lost their weight. Complete loss of appetite is also one of the symptoms which may cause rapid weight losing or diarrhea which can lead to dehydration. AIDS wasting syndrome is one of the concern for HIV patients where they loss their 10 percent or more of their body weight. Presentation of argument The main reason that causes AIDS is through having unprotected sex. Unprotected sex is a term used to describe anal or vaginal sex without a condom. According to Health Protection Agency, most cases of HIV in the UK are caused by having sexual contact. HIV transmits through unprotected homosexual or heterosexual, vaginal, anal, or even oral sex. HIV moves from a body fluid of infected person into the body and bloodstream of their sexual partner during sexual contact. HIV can be transmitted via delicate and absorbent mucous skin of penis, vagina, lining of rectum and sometimes mouth and throat as well. HIV infection doesn’t occur every time unprotected sex takes place. However, it could happen any time unprotected sex takes place. According to scientists, an infected person will transmit HIV to their partner once in every 900 times they have unprotected sex. Thus, the more people one has unprotected sex with, the more chances HIV infection can passes on. There are different kinds of sexual behaviours according to relative risks. Sexual behaviours such as masturbation, kissing, touching, oral sex on a man with condom or oral sex on a woman with a barrier method may cause HIV infection at a very low risk whereas anal intercourse wand vaginal sex without a condom may cause HIV infection at high risk. It is possible to catch HIV through unprotected oral sex, but the risk is much lower. The risk of HIV transmission through oral sex will be higher if the person giving oral sex has mouth ulcers, sores or bleeding gums and/or if the person receiving oral sex has been recently infected with or another sexually transmitted infection.

Stalin vs Trotsky

Stalin vs Trotsky The weaknesses and failures of Stalins opponents were not the main reason why Stalin rose to power over Trotsky. However, it did slightly affect the outcome of the power struggle. In some historians point of view, such as E.H Carr and I. Deutscher, they hold the conviction that Trotsky had no talent for leadership among equals.  [1]  On the similar side of the debate, G. Hosking, a Scottish historian, described Stalins opponents to be rather incautious. They were content to leave him to assemble and classify the personnel files, not yet realizing what power were accumulating therein.  [2]  However, I do not totally agree with these historians because Stalins personality is dangerously strong since no one could have possibly stopped him. Deutscher who agreed with this point of view wrote, It seemed to Trotsky almost a bad joke that Stalin, the willful and sly but shabby and inarticulate man in the background, should be his rival.  [3]  Deutschers work could be interpreted in two ways. He could be saying that Trotsky was foolish enough to not target Stalin as his rival but in a more logical sense, it should be interpreted as Stalins sly personality that made Trotsky not able to his is true intentions. Trotsky was not weak since he commanded the Red Army and Lenin disagreed with the historians point of view because in 1924, Trotsky was recommended and claimed the most capable man in the present Communist Party. In Lenins Testament, he wrote, Comrade Trotsky, on the other hand is distinguished not only by his outstanding ability. He is personally perhaps the most capable man in the present Central Committee.  [4]  The evidences state that Trotsky was a great intellectual and he was one of the best orators in the Soviet Union and he was able to work crowds to bring them around his point of view. His position as Commissar for War also gave him a strong base in the Politburo. E.H. Carr wrote, He (Trotsky) could not establish his authority among colleagues by the modest arts of persuasion or by sympathetic attention to the views of men of lesser intellectual caliber than himself.  [5]  This analysis is accurate because in the 1900s, most families were from the working class or t hey were peasants whom were mostly illiterate. Trotsky had a great advantage because as commander of the Red Army, he was in a strong position to crush his opposition. However, Trotsky did show some weaknesses and his arrogant manner convinced the Politburo members fears. In Lenins view, He has displayed excessive self-assurance.  [6]  Trotsky had also openly disagreed with Lenin on policies at times and Trotsky bombarded Lenin with long memoranda, explaining why so much was wrong in Soviet Russia and how to correct it.  [7]  His acts did not give Lenin a good impression since he was questioning the decisions themselves. By fate, Trotsky was a former Menshevik and he had a Jewish origin which halted his progressive promotions in the party. The Bolshevik Party was heavily founded on heavy bureaucracy and Trotsky was dull enough to criticize the party for becoming too bureaucratic and less democratic.  [8]  His attack on bureaucratization was a contradiction with the nature of the Bolshevik Party. On the other side, Rob ert Conquest wrote Trotsky had no clear political tactics and E.H Carr added, He had made major mistakes that affected the outcome of the power struggle.  [9]  Both of these points are very logical and clear because in 1925, to reassure his innocence, he relinquished his position as Commissar for Military Affairs. Trotsky could fire masses of men to acclaim and follow him but historian Chris Corin wrote, He had no intention of becoming a dictator and had always been aware of the tendency for a power struggle after the revolution.  [10]  History has shown that Trotsky had not attempted to use the Red Army to secure his position. But Deutscher argued, The truth is that Trotsky refrained from attacking Stalin because he felt secure.  [11]  Nevertheless, Trotsky had major flaws in his attitude, argument and his political tactics since he was determined that he would be Lenins successor. Trotsky should have voiced over the debate on censoring the Lenins Testament to prove his innocence. However, we can see that Stalins political skills are overwhelmingly important in the struggle for power. Stalins strategies were powerful and his opponents had no clear thoughts before they acted. The party members were all focusing on defeating Trotsky because he was a commander of the Red Army.  [12]  The Politburo leaders were very incautious because if they had noticed Stalins moves on setting up loyalists in the Central Committee, they would be in an alliance with Trotsky. With the same point of view, G. Hosking said, Most of them, being well read in the history of past revolutions, were obsessed by a very different danger: that of finding the revolutions hijacked by another Bonaparte.  [13]  What G. Hosking said is very true; they have never seen anything like Stalins Administrative Approach in history therefore the significance of Stalins tactics consumed most of the reasons to his uprising. Stalins opponents took the wrong move in the event of Lenins testament. Lenin wrote a testament in December 1922 called Letter to Party Congress and presented to congress in 1924. Lenin wrote, Comrade Stalin has enormous power. I am not sure that he always knows how to exercise that power with sufficient caution.  [14]  In this situation, we can see the weaknesses of his opponents that led to Trotskys downfall. This, Testament was censored because Stalins opponents Zinoviev, Kamenev and the others were criticized and they were afraid that Trotsky would soon become the leader. Lenins testament recognized Trotsky as the most capable man. Lenin wrote, He is personally perhaps the most capable man in the present C. C. Stalins opponents did not listen to the advice of Lenin because if they did, Stalin would have lost his General Secretary position. Lenin wrote, Stalin is too rude, and this faultà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ ¦becomes unacceptable in the office of General Secretary. Therefore, I propose to the comrades that a way be found to remove Stalin from that post an d replace him with someone else.  [15]  If the letter was to be uncensored by the Politburo members, Stalin would have a harder time succeeding Lenins role over Trotsky. Conclusion After having examined the true factors that led to Trotsky not being able to become the sole leader of Soviet Russia since he was the favorite Candidate, this investigation came to the conclusion that Stalins political skill and ruthlessness was the most important cause of Trotskys downfall because his weaknesses were only limited to his complacency and party views. When Stalin took control of the General Secretary position, it was nearly impossible to stop him from becoming the sole leader of Soviet Russia. Through Stalins administrative approach, he had won his perceived survival game. Trotskys weaknesses were circumstances that existed as a benefit to Stalin but it was ultimately his cunning personality that allowed him to take full advantage of them. It is, evident that the use of Stalins own skills played a major role in the events in Soviet Russia from 1924-1929. Therefore in history, we see that Stalin is ruthless and skilled in his journey for power.

Symbols and Symbolism in A Raisin in the Sun †Dream Symbolism :: Raisin Sun essays

A Raisin in the Sun – Dream Symbolism A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry, portrays the life of a black family living in a bad section of Chicago. There are many problems in this family, but mostly it revolves around the character of Mama and how she longs to give her family a better life through the money she receives when her husband dies. Also, the family deals with the racism in Chicago in the 1950's complicating the realization of Mama's dreams for the family as well as other family conflicts that come up when money is entered into the equation. A Raisin in the Sun is basically about dreams, as the main characters struggle to deal with the oppressive circumstances that rule their lives. The Youngers struggle to attain these dreams throughout the play, and much of their happiness and depression is directly related to their attainment of, or failure to attain, these dreams. By the end of the play, they learn that the dream of a house is the most important dream because it unites the family. "Oh--So now it's life. Money is life. Once upon a time freedom used to be life--now it's money. I guess the world really do change." Mama is Walter and Beneatha's sensitive and loving mother and the head of the Younger household. She demands that members of her family respect themselves and take pride in their dreams. Mama demands that the apartment in which they all live always be neat and clean. She stands up for her beliefs and provides perspective from an older generation. She believes in striving to succeed while maintaining her moral boundaries. Money is only a means to an end for Mama; dreams are more important to her than material things, and her dream is to own a house with a garden and yard where Travis can play. The following quotation occurs in Act I, scene ii when Mama asks Walter why he always talks about money. Walter then replies "money is life," explaining to her that that he believes that success is all about how much money you have. This conversation ta kes place early in the play and reveals Mama's and Walter's money struggles, and it goes to show the difference in their generations.

The Holocaust :: Jewish Holocaust

The Holocaust   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  When you think of the holocaust, what do you think about? Is it the millions of Jews lives that were taken? Or is it a great, but wicked speaker named Adolph Hitler? Adolph Hitler, Auschwitz, and American involvement are some key roles in the holocaust.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Adolph Hitler is probably one of the worst people ever to live. When people talk of evil deeds he is at the top of the list. He was a man of words, and could use them to his advantage. He had an ability to talk and make the Germans believe that the Jews were the reason for the problems in their country; so he gave them the idea to move them out. Then under his command they forced the Jews in to death camps.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  After Adolph Hitler convinced the Germans that the Jews were the center of all problems, he started to make camps to place all the Jews. These camps weren’t nice places to be. They were all used to kill millions of Jews. Auschwitz was the most feared of all. Over 2 million Jews were killed there in ways that aren’t humane, such as shooting them, or gassing them in a chamber, or even burning them alive. This camp even bought little farms and houses for places to kill. They had the ever so famous Little Red house and the Little White house. These were places that they took Jews to kill them.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  How does America get involved in this? They started to ban Jews in America. Nazism started up here in the land of the free. This made it harder for them to come to America and get out of harms way in Germany. They were leaving one country to come to another that feared the Jews taking jobs away, and believed they had to take action as did the Germans. Organizations tried to help bring people in to the country, and the government was making it almost imposable to get in.

Communication Style Essay

Communication is a message conveyed with words, body language, vocal inflections, and personal space and the meaning understood by the recipient. Problems occur when the message received is not the message sent. What’s My Communication Style assesses and identifies a person’s dominate communication style. It outlines the strengths and weaknesses of the four styles: Spirit, Direct, Systematic and Considerate. Knowing which style you are comfortable with and which styles you need to improve upon will increase the effectiveness of your communication. This assessment was enlightening because I scored relatively close on three of the four styles. After reviewing the details of each style, I see myself in those three characteristics. I scored 8, 7, and 6 on Spirited, Considerate and Systematic respectively. Therefore, I maintain my dominate style is Enthusiastic and adapts based on my audience. The positive aspects of a spirited style are persuasiveness, enthusiasm and working at a fast pace. Similarly, the considerate style listens well, values relationships and builds trust. I think all of these qualities are essential in project management. For example, at work I always ask how people’s families are or how their weekend went before we start a planning meeting. I listen to what each department thinks is the most important needs and tasks to be addressed during the project. Above all though, I want to gather all the facts before we get started and then decide how we are going to proceed. When problems arise during the project, I listen to each responsible department to see what they think went wrong, make my own assessment and then make plans to correct and put the project back on plan. To strengthen my spirited style, I need to focus on including everyone better so they feel like a more substantial part of the team. One trouble spot that I would like to work on is my organization skills. I’ve noticed that I gloss over the less important details if they are not written down on my to do list. Glossing over the details usually means mistakes that need to be corrected. If I were more organized and detail oriented, we could reduce the number of errors during the project. Most of the time, my teams have all different types of communication styles. During meetings, I can usually tell which style they are most comfortable with based on how they structure their questions. I make a point to address their comments or concerns in their type of style, although I do it enthusiastically. This can be a problem for me when I have a teammate that is too emotional in a meeting. I get frustrated when the conversation has little substance. I want to get the facts and to the point so that we can create an action item list for the team. Similarly, I prefer to avoid addressing conflicts. When they get brought up, I always try to find a path that will appease the masses while still keeping our goals in sight. Because I am so enthusiastic, I like being around other spirited people. It is easy for me to connect with people that are similarly good story tellers, fast paced and high energy. I am drawn to them and feel encouraged to share my experiences. At work, however, I really value people who are articulate, factual, decisive and direct. When we have action items and a deadline, I am focused and want to surround myself with like-minded individuals. I am most challenged working with people that are extremely systematic. I’m currently working with a guy in our IT department who is very precise. He will correct you if you miss speak or have inaccurate facts. I find it difficult to connect with him on a personal level. I have to remember to be overly prepared and armed with details of our project when we have a meeting. During one particular proposal meeting, I really focused on the details and had all my facts. I had an answer for all of his questions. Because I was prepared, I had built that trust that I was trying to build by connecting with him personally. In this case, adapting to my audience was a success. In conclusion, this communication style assignment has been very educational. The assessment helped me identify which styles that I am comfortable with. The lesson taught me how best to identify and communicate with my team to be a better leader. The introspection has shown me my strengths and my trouble spots with areas to focus on.

Public Handwash, Why Should They And Why They Don’t

It is the manpower that touch everything and do all the work whether new or impure. Hands atomic number 18 on that pointfore the routes d wholeness which germs and bacteria get their way into the consistency and finally causing infections. According to Larson, et al, (2003), t here(predicate) is the indispensableness to always keep the workforce clean and at all times. belongings the pass on clean prevents transmission of germs and prevents complaint and illnesses to integrityself as well as to some others. This is so by the circumstance that every atomic number 53s detainment be contaminated from time to time. It is move though to realize that even much(prenominal) people as doctors and nurses go without race custody, considering that they sing the mo nononous song to everybody of rinse hands. Are they not the role models? Dont they understand the causation shtup it more than any integrity else? approximately people who are adversely touched by this are school children. They are known to be very mocking and they tend to utilize their hands. This exposes them to the hazard of acquire infected because they are interchangeablely to willing to wash their hands and come lunchtime, they will use the same(p) hands to waste without even hint of what they mogul be taking in.The fact that there is unexclusive handwash indicates the essence of the lavation of hands. It is not necessary that your hands be modify so that you stool be confident(p) to wash them. You will be strike to know how much dirty your hands are, much as they may come forward clean. Whether in the infirmarys, schools or restaurants, backwash of hands is mandatory. It is shocking to come to the realization that barely few people wash their hands by and by visiting the toilet. Is it because of the notions that the people concord well-nigh these man places? Most people are known to view these man toilets and washrooms as dirty places. Does this excuse them from washing their hands? There are numerous reasons that call for atomic number 53 to trance to it that their hands are washed regardless of whether they appear dirty or not. Just exchangeable I have said above, one has no option but to determine that his hands are washed right off subsequentlyward visiting the toilet. This is because there are so legion(predicate) germs that are got here and failure to wash hands dictates send of germs and bacteria known to cause sickness and illnesses. The human body is one etymon of pernicious germs and so one should undertake that he has washed hands after touching bare human body. star should also make it a tariff to wash hands after use animals. This much affects people who have pets handle cats and dogs. These animals are known to be the compact a lot of germs and bacteria destructive to ones health as they cause illnesses. Before treatment any food, one must wash hands to distract contaminating it. This prevents harmful germs from creation transferred from theHands to the food and thus into the body through the mouth, (Roberts, 2001). Again, it is essential that one wash the hands after coughing, act reflexively or even scratching. It is unbelievable the germs that are transmitted through sneezing or coughing. There is the need to wash hands frequently because every one is credibly to touch the eyes or snoot or any other warm body part that is the deals ofly to cause transmission of the germs from the hands and causing diseases. buy the farm but not least, one should experience that hands have been washed after handling soiled equipment. The fact that the equipment is already soiled is a clear interpretation of the need to wash the hands. This brings us to the pigment reason of discussing public handwash its importance To begin with, handwashing is essential to stop the transmit of germs and ba cteria that cause infections. Preventing sicknesses and illnesses subsequently prevents you from abstracted classes, job or social activities. This is so in that you do not go down with any infection that may have been caused by the germs. Washing of hands is particularly mandatory for the hospital workers. As the truth is, they are constantly in contact with sick people who may be secreting body fluids. This increases the ascertains of the doctor or nurse to have hospital-acquired infections. It is therefore only wise for these health workers to wash their hands after every short speckle.Washing of hands not only keeps an individual golosh from infections but it also keeps everyone else healthy. In The Journal, declination 16,2006, it is promised that one cannot transmit germs from themselves to the next soulfulness as they have their hands washed and free from any germs. This applies largely in the context that one is preparing food for others. The chance of having germs tr ansmitted from the hands to the food is drastically reduced owing to the fact that hands have been washed. People should always see to it that they have washed their hands forward getting into the house. More applicable is the certificate of indebtedness to wash hands before handling anything in the house. This ensures that no germs from outside have been brought into the house.I have always wondered why soul would think it ok to use the hindquarters and comfortably check out without washing his or her hands. Dont they know the kind of germs they can spread? I can bet women do it so acceptably walking right out of the stall and out the exit room access without so much as a care. Men on the other hand are not any better. In fact they are on the worse side. Now, someone has their hands on the same surfaces that you will be using briefly after and still you dont bother to wash your own hands after you are through? Something is just so wrong, or what shall I recite more or less it?There are still people known not to wash their hands at all. Do these people have a valid reason why they should not? Arent they at the same risk with everyone else of contracting infections? unmatchable of the biggest reasons why some people dont wash hands is if one is a man. Fewer men are known to wash their hands after visiting the public restroom than women. The pivotal fact is that both men and women are at the same risk of getting infected with diseases if the hands are not washed. It is not so much that the men are incapable of contracting diseases but rather it is the issue about gender. The men see it as though it is only the women and childern who should have their hands washed while they overlook it altogether. It is disheartening when such primary task is not carried out as expected. Doesnt it only require scoopful and water to have the whole thing done? Its not even like it takes long, yet it is a task not done by many.So much about people not feeling like wash ing their hands. It is very well known that some public restrooms and washrooms are not anything to write home about. In fact if the truth is to be told, they are so disgusting such that no one would wish to use them. This therefore becomes a reason why one would not use the public handwash facilities.Having talked about washing hands as a way of preventing spread of germs, it does not ineluctably follow. By saying this, I sine qua non to bring into the limelight the fact that public handwashing may be a starting time of infections and affects the health of the community. Considering that there is universal use of soap and water, chances of spreading germs from one person to another are high. Thus handwashing becomes a problem in itself other than a problem solver. This therefore explains why many people would rather remain with dirty hands than expose them to greater risk of exposure. Everyones health is at this time drop in danger as the stride at which the germs are to spre ad is sooner high and the facilitators as well a in large numbers. It becomes apparent therefore that the best thing that one can do is to avoid it at all costs. There is the cost of medication to be looked into. This is the aftermath of handwashing and being infected with the germs that eventually cause diseases. The thought of visiting the hospital about a case of dissolution is not at all pleasant. For it being a preventable illness indicates uncleanliness and poor people hygiene. It would therefore be acceptable to understand that while it is very much recommendable for one to wash their hands, there is also the need for great caution. In thinking that one is preventing germs and their spread, he may actually be getting more than he already has in his hands and thus exposing himself to danger of getting sick.Washing hands is therefore a very careful task that should not be overlooked or assume (Curtis, 2002).
